| 説明 | USS Minnesota in Panama Canal 1920Caption: "Panama Canal. U. S. S. Minnesota in Gaillard Cut, near Empire, looking north June 12, 1920." USS Minnesota (BB-22) was a Connecticut-class battleship, launched 8 April 1905. Jamestown Exposition in Norfolk, Virginia from 22 April – 3 September 1907. December 16, 1907 to February22, 1909 she was part of the cruise of the "Great White Fleet". 1909 to 1917 she was part of the Atlantic Fleet. During World War I she hit a mine off the US East coast. Serious damage but no loss of life. 1919, she made three round trips to Brest, France to return over 3,000 veterans. She was a training ship when this photo was taken on June 12, 1920.
