Malloy joined local and state officials at the site of the former New Haven Coliseum to announce that the state will be investing $21.5 million in a redevelopment for the area. The project is the second phase of the Downtown Crossing project, which is transforming this area of New Haven by reconnecting neighborhoods with downtown and adding 35 to 40 new small to mid-zied permanent businesses and up to 25 seasonal incubator businesses, along with a mix of quality housing options. The project will generate 2,809 permanent jobs. |
