説明 | An electrified 1911 Goudy Bookletter ampersand. There are a lot of particulars and most will appear in gmic.sourceforge.net tutorials in the sweet fullness of time. The salient demonstration of this bit is the "potential field" produced by the gmic -distance command, which, from various arbitrary locales will enable one to plot a 'minimum distance path' to a 'lowest point.' That need not be a straight line if one also associates a "traversal cost" with pixels, so that some are more expensive to traverse than others. In that case, the minimum distance path may be quite roundabout, and not anywhere near where a crow might fly. It could even look like a lightning bolt, which follows its own minimum distance path through the irregular resistance of air. Much of the behind-the-scenes workings of this particular image can already be found in the tutorial for the gmic -distance command. See gmic.sourceforge.net/tutorial/_distance.shtml. |
