The stars are based on those from the internationally loved song “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” written in Colchester.Inspired by Indian decoration, she is made using fragments of beautiful things including crockery, mirror, coins and jewels. My team at Stanway are proud to be involved in the 50th year celebration of Colchester zoo and to be a giraffe patron. About the ArtistAnne is an internationally renowned sculptor and mosaic artist who has been creating a wide range of works for public and corporate clients since the mid 1990’s. There is a strong emphasis on recycled materials in her work; her aim being to make the ordinary, extraordinary. She often incorporates artefacts into her works that have been donated by, or have connections to the people and location of each commission. She has won several awards and appeared on numerous television programmes. Her work is in private and public collections around the world. |
