| 説明 | Gibraltar - 9th December 2014 - The Royal Navy and Royal Marines conducted a full amphibious landing exercise at Eastern Beach in Gibraltar.The exercise support by the Royal Navy Flagship HMS Bulwark saw the Commandos from Charlie Company, 40 Commando Royal Marines and four Assault Squadron Royal Marines (ASRM) tests their skillsfor amphibious operations and use of specialist landing and offshore raiding craft, capable of carrying Royal Marines Commandos, heavy vehicles, tanks, as well as stores and supplies.The exercise started in the early morning as the sun rose in the horizon making it a spectaular show under the bright sunny weather. Helicopters were also used during the exercise.The exercise saw several minor incidents when Spanish fishing boats crossed the paths of the landing crafts as they approached shore. It was also confirmed that a Spanish naval vessel was positioned outside British Territorial waters observing the exercise from afar. |
