説明 | Megan Comfort is Senior Research Sociologist in the Division of Behavioral Health and Criminal Justice at RTI International and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. In the presentation on her paper “Integrating social work and ethnography with hypermarginalized populations,” Megan addressed the sometimes conflicting demands of conducting population research and the ethical imperative to intervene – and shared her research experiences using a hybrid methodological approach that integrates clinical social work and ethnography in a study that provided intensive case management to HIV-positive, destitute adults in Oakland, California.Comfort’s talk was moderated by Sandra K. Danziger and featured discussants Megan Tompkins-Stange and Reuben Miller. Held on Friday, October 10, 2014, the event was hosted by the National Poverty Center, the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, and the School of Social Work Learning Community on Poverty and Inequality. Details: fordschool.umich.edu/events/2014/integrating-social-work-... |
