| 説明 | I've always rather liked the John Lewis extension. From the Edinburgh practice, Sir Basil Spence, Glover & Ferguson, it opened in October 1988.It's now interesting to compare this with the buildings across the road that, despite being 14 years younger, are tired, shabby and particularly poorly-designed at street level. But we don't really seem to care about things like 'public realm', 'longevity', or let's be honest, 'good design' - as long as the stick-on architectural wallpaper looks OK in a planning application, the box is well and truly ticked. |
