One of some 40 kinetic sculptures in the Exhibition "Where the Wind Blows?" in the Botanical Garden of the Moscow State University («КУДА ДУЕТ ВЕТЕР» в «Аптекарском огороде» [Ботанический сад МГУ]). Most of these sculptures are essentially brightly colored fiberglass skins on metal frames. The youthful sculptors are from Studio ECD No. 5 (студии ДЭЗ №5). The exhibit opened 30 May 2014; presumably, the sculptures were created in 2014. www.bio.msu.ru/news/view.php?ID=983This photo was taken with a hand-held Sigma DP2 Merrill camera. The raw format photo file was processed using Sigma's Photo Pro 5.5; the resulting JPEG file was tweaked using Apple's iPhoto. In spite of my hand tremor and my difficultly in rendering colors, this sculpture and light brought out the best in the DP2M. View a larger-size file to see details. |
