In 1952, the building functioned as a playhouse.John Sells, who platted Dublin in 1818, erected this log house about 1809. By the 1950s, it had been reconstructed with its logs inverted (note the downward-facing steeple notching); I've yet to encounter a more ghastly display of ignorance about log construction. The building was dismantled in the 1990s.The gable-end entrance, too, was an anomaly. |
