| 説明 | Oct. 5, 2014: Olivia and John walk the streets of Hamelin, a charming medieval town in northern Germany made famous by the Brothers Grimm when they penned their version of the "Peid Piper of Hamelin." The couple did not see a single live rat on the premises, so it's safe to assume that Mr. Piper played a thorough tune. During their two-hour stay, the couple took advantage of the town's weekly farmer's market. John's his first taste of rose petal jam persuaded him to buy a jar, while Olivia purchased a few bars of handmade soap. Both husband and wife were pleasantly surprised that they could complete these transactions with their rudimentary German. A fellow Trafalgar traveler brought an unexpected guest on the coach in the form of a plush rat. Fittingly dubbed as "Hans" by its owner, the adorable creature moved from seat to seat, producing frequent smiles and occasional chuckles from the tour group for the remainder of the trip.The tour concluded with a short stop at Hamburg, the second largest city in Germany with approximately 1.75 million residents. John and Olivia did not stray far from the Rathaus, the bustling port city's town hall. However, many members of the tour group elected to take a short cruise along the River Elbe.
