| 説明 | A visit to Carsington Water on a fine September morning. A reservoir with sailing boats and birds etc! A park run by Severn Trent.It is between Wirksworth and Ashbourne. You can see the reservoir from the main road!Plans for the reservoir started in the 1960s. Construction began in 1979 and finished by 1992.You can see many sailing boats and canoes out on the water! Also various bird species and wildlife.Stones Island - signDesigned in 1991 by landscape architect Lewis Knight, Stones Island is Severn Trent Water's contribution to the long-standing tradition of Derbyshire hill-top monuments. Intended as a pleasant place to sit, picnic or view the surrounding countryside, Stones Island is there to be looked at, walked around and enjoyed. |
