説明 | "December 15, 1942Some of the fellows got report on blood tests. 13 out of 16 are malarial. Went swimming twice. Fixed up our tent, building tables, chairs & putting up our mosquito nets. Burned coconuts to help prevent flies around area. Our pilots are in Samoa. VM0251 is being changed into a fighting squadron and some of our ordnance men are helping teach them about guns. I saw L.A. Richards was in V.M.B. 142. Sure was glad to see him. Drew a few clothes at quartermasters. Went to the show to see The Man Who Wouldn't Die but was driven back to the tent by rain. Did I get soaked!December 16, 1942Rest of 121 's men who landed on Guadalcanal on Oct. 13 are here. Richard came over and he, Elliston & myself went hunting and swimming. Went to 142's area and saw some of Richards's buddies. Put sand bags around tent and dug H2O trenches as it rained again today. Went back to show to same show as yesterday as the rain chased most of us home last night. Played cards for a while. Saw Leyba."From the Lloyd D.
