| 説明 | Definitely one of the coolest dive bars in this world. The Little Ale Inn in Rachel Nevada on the Extraterrestrial Highway across from "Area 51". This is a film print scan from my Cannon AE1. Not sure what caused that white streak in the sky (aliens?) it's on the negative!This was 1996, got my 1st new car, a Kia, the cheapest option, it had a warranty, so I promptly took off on a road trip that turned into 8000+ miles across 13 states & Victoria, British Columbia. I remember driving down this road heading towards Mono Lake, for what seemed like hours without passing another car; salt flats on both sides made the road look like it stretched to the sea. Nothing, till finally I see a gleam in the distance, 20 minutes later I've arrived at what looked to be a ghost town with a few mobile homes, a menagerie of vehicles parked around them, & a sign: The Little Ale Inn! A combination bar & diner; Inside were the requisite (Nevada) slot machines, all kinds of literature & trinkets with, or about, ufo's & aliens, BIG haired waitresses telling stories of their encounters with Extraterrestrials... All in all, twas quite the trip! |
