| 説明 | Arriving 16 minutes early this was very much a miss of this loco despite it waiting at the light slightly further down the line for some time. DB Schenker's class 66 (JT42CWR) number 66041 in English, Welsh and Scottish Railway maroon with zigzag gold band working 4E26 from Dollands Moor sidings to Scunthorpe Redbourne sidings on 17 June 2014. This service returns empty FIA 'Multifret' twin intermodal flat wagons used to transport steel for export in billet form from Tata Steels Scunthorpe complex on South Humberside in Lincolnshire (see Andy Pictons photo www.flickr.com/photos/98929239@N03/14032630236/in/photost...) to a freight yard at Ebange in Eastern France via Dollands Moor and Calais Fréthun through the Channel Tunnel (for the route see www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/14036377443/). Laurent Knop photographed Euro Cargo Rail's loco number E 186-317 at Valenciennes (Nord - department 59) hauling loaded wagons working from Calais Fréthun to Ebange on 2 April 2014 (www.flickr.com/photos/x4644/13687214105/in/photolist-mRux...). Nicolas Tomaszewski also videoed a loaded train passing Beuvrages hauled by Euro Cargo Rail's E186 162-4 (www.flickr.com/photos/france-ferroviaire/14112205833/in/f...). Once in Ebange the steel is used at Tata's Hayange rail mill to produce rail for SNCF's LGV Est européenne construction programme to extend the French high-speed rail network. According to biggles101 numbers of the wagons being hauled were 7049381245, 7049381880, 7049387091, 7049385055, 7049385170, 7049381682, 7049380007, 7049383118, 7049381104, 7049380296, 7049383167, unknown and 7049383340. 66041 was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division, London, Ontario, Canada in 1998 and unloaded from the MV "Fairload" Heavy Lift Ship at Newport Docks on 17 December 1998. |
