説明 | Command Sgt. Maj. Stephen Sivils, senior enlisted advisor of 1st Battalion, 21st Field Artillery Regiment, 41st Field Artillery Brigade, right, slips a case over the battalion colors as Maj. Everett Williams, the executive officer of 1-21st FAR, holds the colors during an inactivation ceremony held at Fort Hood, Texas June 12. The 1-21st FAR first stood up June 1, 1917 at Camp Wilson, Texas. During its 97-year history, the battalion was awarded nine citations or commendations and has seen combat in WWI, WWII, the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
