| 説明 | Nearly 90 students from class #42 of Maryland’s Freestate ChalleNGe Academy are scheduled to graduate June 14, 2014, at Aberdeen Proving Ground after successfully completing more than 5 months in the rigorous residential program. Students were recognized with awards and scholarships this week in a separate ceremony. The National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program, a preventive rather than remedial "youth at risk" program, targets unemployed, drug-free, high school dropouts, 16-18 years of age. Core components of the program are citizenship, academic excellence (GED/High School diploma), life-coping skills, service to community, health and hygiene, job skills training, leadership/followership, and physical training. |
