| 説明 | Bruneau mariposa lily (Calochortus bruneaunis), Lily family (Liliaceae).North-facing rocky slope of the Logan Canyon, Utah.Description of this species is almost a copy of one for C. nuttallii. All measurements are overlapping. Only one feature is used in the Calochortus key to distinguish these two species - the color of the stripe on the dorsal side of petals: green in C. bruneaunis and purple in C. nuttallii. The chromosome number is 7 for C.b. and 8 for C.n., useless feature unless you have a pocket chromosome counter. |
