説明 | The label advises that the sarsaparilla plant was originally native to the coasts of Mexico and Peru before traders took it to the Caribbean. The drink is made from the roots of the plant and was always believed to be beneficial to health. In the mid 1500's, sarsaparilla became popular in Europe and was traded mainly through Jamaica. Baldwin's, who have a herbal remedies shop in the Walworth Road, have produced the drink since 1844. In fact you can still buy a frothy pint mug full in the shop today! _DS70198p All Rights Reserved © 2014 Frederick Roll ~ fjroll.com Please do not use this image without prior permission |
