| 説明 | A closer look at the barbed wire, put in place to prevent desperate prisoners from attempting suicide. The prison/ torture chamber was the charge of a brilliant academic and mathematics wizard Kang Kek Lew, or Duch as he was called. He decided to abandon his academics to indulge in criminal activity and torture and kill people. Paradoxically, after he escaped from here when the Vietnamese army invaded, he took on several different identities, and worked as a pastor in a local church and when he was re-arrested, thanks to a persistent journalist, was working as Director of Education in a remote part of Cambodia.
