The rural side of the garden features plants that evoke the North York Moors. Boulders form steps into this section of the design. An elliptical dish of water is the main feature of the urban part of the garden; the surface of the black water in the dish is broken by a ring of bubbles. Through the rear stone wall of the garden a striking band of recycled bike wheels, sourced from recycling centres in Yorkshire, references the Grand Départ. |
