| 説明 | Frank was born in 1892 and raised on the site of this Lakeview apartment building. After his mother died in 1901 him and his two brothers were raised by their father.He and his brother Peter became "torpedoes," hitmen who were hired by mobs to carry out murders that, for various reasons, could not be carried out by the mobs themselves. But they were mostly associated with the Irish North Side gang.Frank was part of unsuccessful hits on Al Capone and "Machine Gun" Jack McGurn. The two brothers successfully murdered Antonio Lombardo and Pasqualino Lolordo, who were the presidents of Unione Siciliane.In 1929 the two brothers became victims of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Frank the the sole survivor. The police asked him "Who shot you?""Nobody shot me," he replied. He died a short time later.Located at 434 W. Roscoe St. |
