| 説明 | #InSSpirationLEO * #LearnExploreObserve on #ISS in #LowEarthOrbitTIM PEAKE * A COUNTRY * A MAN * A M-ISS-ION When British astronaut Tim Peake will be launching into LEO (Low Earth Orbit) in November 2015 heading to his future home -the International Space Station- for his “m-ISS-ions” 46 and 47, he will be fulfilling a dream of many – he will fly to space.He is following the steps of many generations of British explorers and pioneers filled with spirit of discovery, who not only looked beyond their worlds, but actually reached beyond. Who not only thought outside their boxes, but literally left them – thus pushing boundaries and extending the scope of mankind.Circling around earth every 90 minutes for 6 months Tim Peake will be working on scientific experiments and observing our world from outer space.Additionally he will take the chance to focus on his personal mission of #STEM and educational outreach by sharing his experiences via social media.Giving all of us the chance to “sneak a PEe(A)K(E)” at our beautiful blue marble and the amazing space through his eyes surely will inspire all people following him and his adventures.With spreading the excitement he will engage old and young to become a part of his mission and thus will encourage them to reach beyond their own horizons and dare all things.Isn’t inspiration about passing on the torch to the next generation?Let’s make the dream of magnifying our world through inspiration come true and let everybody realize that from above there are no boundaries. As a picture says more than 1000 words I thought about what symbols and elements might be representing Tim Peake, his home country and his missions and put these pieces together in one bigger picture.And as I was asked to design the logo and avatar for @SpaceUpUK ( spaceupuk.org ), which will take place in London in July 2014, it is a great opportunity to incorporate some central details of my latest design project to establish a symbolic connection between Tim Peake's official @esa mission and an awesome UK #STEM outreach event for space enthusiasts from all over the world.----------------------------------------------------UPDATE June 2014: Tim Peake will join #SpaceUpUK via Skype from his training in Russia.So here is the #IRL connection between my design of the @SpaceUpUK logo and my mission logo, which I designed for @esa 's name competition of his mission in 2015 ;-) ---------------------------------------------------- So this is what my design of a mission logo for #InSSpirationLEO would look like ;-) flic.kr/s/aHsjW5ZhbD P.S. We enjoyed seeing the capsule used during the maiden flight in Florida at SpaceX Launch Control Center during and event before the #NASATweetup for #STS135en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_(spacecraft)* THE UK FLAG "UNION JACK" IN FORM OF A COMPASS ROSE -> illustrating Greenwich / UK - "the centre of space and time" -> symbol for reaching out into all directions N + E + S + W and additionally subsurface and skywards, directions which are reflecting Tim Peake’s journeys into the depths of the ocean during his mission NEEMO as well as his future mission to space* MMXV-> 2015 – the year of launch of mission 46 / 47, stylised in shape of ISS* “ @ “ AND “ # “-> reflecting the tools of the peer-to-peer connection with #SpaceTweeps and future space enthusiasts, who will further spread news about the adventures all around the world via social media channels, e.g. @twitter, Facebook, Google+ and others.* 16 FLAGS-> reflecting all current international partners and participants cooperating on ISS – the most ambitious international collaboration ever.
