| 説明 | I remember riding the CTA version of this trolley bus, both in its green/yellow and forest green/white liveries, when they ran on 47th Street from Lake Park to Archer.They were clean and quiet; the only sound they made was a hum that increased in pitch the faster they went. Even as land was being excavated and the Dan Ryan Expressway viaduct was being built at 47th between Wells and LaSalle, the trolley wire was rerouted slightly, but these buses never stopped running. They were finally taken out of service in 1967.I'd sell my soul to the devil to have them back on 47th Street for just one day. |
