| 説明 | A bottle of Barley Brew from Gourmetbryggeriet in Roskilde, Denmark.Gourmetbryggeriet Barley Brew is a 10.5% abv barley wine, this particular bottle had been in my cellar for 7-8 years and had already expired by four years (best before 3 May 2010) when I opened it, but that is usually no problem for a barley wine. And it turned it wasn't.The beer poured a dark reddish brown color with a beige head. It smelled of dried fruits with an oxidized malty sweetness underneath. Mouthfeel was full bodied with an oily texture. The taste started out with a good malty sweetness, slightly grainy. As it warmed, notes of ripe and dried fruits turned up. It finished with a mild bitterness and a lingering sweet aftertaste. Pretty tasty. Not bad for an expired beer. |
