| 説明 | I did for a short while in my late teens and early twenties use an electric razor but I prefer a wet shave so over the years I've bought lots of different razors, most of which I still have in a drawer. I sorted them out this morning. There's a Schick that I can't find but does it matter? No.The top row are all Gillette, with their associated blades, the middle row are Wilkinson (and two packets of blades, one is anonymous and the other is PAL, priced 1/- for six which suggests that they are pretty old as I remember paying 2/- for five Gillette Extra blades about 1960) and the bottom row are: Lynx, FX, Schick, Bic and an unlabelled safety razor which my father bought in Brighton around 1958. Up until then he'd used an open razor – I've used one but they are a fiddle to keep sharp and a little tricky to use. He bought a razor for me at the same time, it had a blue end and was for lighter beards and was for me to start shaving – it has long gone.As you might expect many of the blades to fit these handles are no longer available. The one I use every day is the Gillette Fusion, in the top left corner, it has an AAA battery in it … the blades, though expensive, last for months and it is the best razor of them all. |
