説明 | This chain appears to be made of two kinds of links, solid figure "8" pieces, and (curved)"E" shaped 2/3 links, with a sideways "T" piece, that bolt together to connect the first kind. This was a solid one, and, and in the absence of bolts, this is how you take the chain apart. Not quick or cheap, obviously.Now I'm going to have to look deeper into this- are these chains normally made by alternating 1 and 2 piece links? Or can a whole length be cast in one go, with the connecting sprues cut off after it freezes? (Solidifies, but I got your attention)... I can more or less imagine sand-casting a length of chain, maybe over lost-foam cores, Obviously a ceramic shell mold would work too. Yep. Need to know more about how they do it! |
