説明 | Getting the outer lens housing on to the barrel proved to be much easier than I expected, though perhaps not quite as easy as it should have been.Atthe top of the barrel is a "keeper" that stops the lens housing dropping of completely at the end of its travel. There are notches in the keeper that if you line the cam groove up just so, you can slide the housing straight on and the followers slide right into the groove. Brilliant!Except that if you do that, the housing is in the wrong position. The same cam also drives the internal lens elements and if you assemble the lens housing in the obvious fashion, it is at one end of it's travel while the internal elements are at the other end. There didn't seem to be any way to line the notches in the keeper up with the cam grooves that had the outer housing and the internal elements in the right position with respect to each other. In the end I gave up and set the internal elements in the appropriate position and gently levered the housing over the keeper and into the cam groove. Doing so opened the crack in the housing, but I don't think it will be a problem.I also managed to end up with a speck of dust inside the window of the outer housing. It's right on the edge, so I don't think it will be a big deal.If you're wondering what all this is in aid of, start here and follow the set through. |
