| 説明 | Running late and at speed DB Schenker's class 66 (JT42CWR) number 66193 in English, Welsh and Scottish Railway maroon with zigzag gold band working 4E26 from Dollands Moor sidings to Scunthorpe Redbourne sidings is switched from its usual line to get around class 319 number 319432 on its way to Kentish Town (www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/13215337463/in/photost...) on 17 March 2014. This service returns empty steel wagons used to transport steel for export in billet form from Tata Steels Scunthorpe complex on South Humberside in Lincolnshire to a freight yard at Ebange in Eastern France via the Channel Tunnel. Nicolas Tomaszewski photographed a loaded service running between Calais and Ebange on 19 February 2014 (www.flickr.com/photos/96650992@N07/12726306763/in/photoli...). Once in Ebange the steel is used at Tata's Hayange rail mill to produce rail for SNCF's LGV Est européenne construction programme to extend the French high-speed rail network. 66193 was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division, London, Ontario, Canada and unloaded from the Heavy Lift Ship MV "Stellanova" at Newport Docks on 15 January 2000. |
