| 説明 | Alberta 1914 PROTOTYPE license plate, Alberta's third issue. This plate is made of thin sheet metal with silkscreened number rolled over onto a wire frame to reinforce the plate. The plate was made by the MacDonald Manufacturing Company Limited Toronto which is marked on the inside of the wire at the top where the metal is rolled over the wire and always have the back painted green. This plate however has been made with a 1913 style crest, Several different types of prototype 1914 Alberta plates exist. Porcelain enameled plates in black on white and black on yellow were made as well. See my 1914 regular passenger plate to see the differences in the crests.Plate is black on white but has yellowed and the paint has cracked a bit with age. |
