| 説明 | From the 6th of February until the 23d of March 2014 Gallery IKM presents work by Tjook. Tjook is always on the lookout for new possibilities and new materials. He doesn`t want to create one perfect picture. Tjook analyses, constructs, deconstructs and combines different images. Here he used the mobile phone as camera. He researches what the mobil can do and uses it to visualize something new. In this ways a new esthetic is created. The series “Mobile Scans” is a collage av mobilphone images taken from the train window from Fetsund to Oslo. New technologies give new opportunities. The mobile phone scrambles our lives says the artist, while at the same time we are in need of this new technology in order to take control in a world where one lacks overview.Tjook shows two installations as well. “The Poop sphere” is a lamp built of thousands of moose droppings. “Vannmonopolet” makes a link between the biblical history of the marriage in Canaa and the Norwegian state owned wine monopoly. The artist Tjook moved from the Netherlands to Norway in 1997. He got his art education at the art academy Minerva (Groningen).
