説明 | The stone tracery of the West Window dates from the 15th century but sadly the original glass was destroyed during the Reformation. The current window shown here was designed in 1854 by George Hedgeland so is a product of the Victorian era.The window consists of six main lights (panels). Of these, the upper three show scenes from the New Testament and the lower three show corresponding scenes from the Old Testament. For example, the upper right panel shows Christ teaching (New Testament) and the lower right panel shows Moses with the 10 Commandments (Old Testament). Photo taken by Colin Barnett. |
