説明 | The MG was introduced in 1923, a sporting division of Morris Motors. The MGA replaced the T Series cars, a new engine meant a lower bonnet line allowing a new streamlined body. A lower seating position was due to the floor set down between the chassis rails rather than sitting on top. The MGA was available in Roadster or Coupe. The first of the MGAs from 1955-59, got the 72hp 1489cc engine from the Magnette saloon. From 1958-60, a more powerful Twin Cam option was available, (twin cam badge near vent on the side of the bonnet). power up to 100hp, they also got four wheel disc brakes and 'knock off' wheel centres In 1959; the 80hp MGA 1600 introduced; engine size increased to 1588cc Drums rear, Discs front, 1600 badges on boot and cowl. For 1960; the facelift MGA Mk II, with new inset grille and Mini taillights. Also engine size increased again to 90hp 1622ccReplaced in 1962 by the updated MGB |
