| 説明 | Francis Smith (1917 - 1998) was an aviator and instructor. Obtaining his license in 1935, he was a pilot for numerous flying services doing crop dusting, charters and instructing. Mr. Smith instructed RAF pilots during WW II, and served with the Air Transport Command, flying the "Hump" between India and China. He was discharged in 1946. Mr. Smith continued flying in aerobatics, crop dusting, charter and airline pilot until his employment with the FAA from 1962 to his retirement in 1975.Repository: San Diego Air and Space Museum Archive |
