| 説明 | So here it folks, my plate of Nasi Goreng Kampung. Beautifully presented and very tasty indeed. Nasi Goreng Kampung is Indonesia style fried rice (in Bhasa Indonesia, nasi= rice, goreng= fried, Kampung= name of the region). It is served with salad, dips and wafers. I had this for lunch at the Poring Hot Springs restaurant near KK. A word about the dips: the red one on the left was predominantly ginger. So so. The one on the right was raw mango in white sauce. It was so delicious that I was tempted to lick the dish! I asked for some more, and the lovely lady brought me another twin dish like the one here, filled completely with that mango dip. Wow! I couldn't ask for thirds, so liking the dish this time was a real possibility, but I let commonsense, decorum and decency prevail! (Kota Kinabalu, East Malaysia, Nov. 2013) |
