| 説明 | RULE NO: 68A-24.002, RULE TITLE: Methods of taking Fur-Bearing Animals; Possession; Open Season The proposed rule amendment would extend the season for harvest of bobcat by the use of guns and dogs only (not traps or snares) from March 2 through March 31. Currently, bobcat may only be harvested from December 1 through March 1 by the use of live traps, guns, dogs or snares. The proposed rule would not change periods when bobcat may be harvested on Wildlife Management Areas, Wildlife and Environmental Areas and Miscellaneous Areas.Add hunting opportunityExpect no detrimental effect on bobcat populations Considered abundant and widespreadCurrent harvest considered very lowFrom nuisance rule 68A-9.010: 4. Bobcat – Except that a bobcat may be taken, as provided by subsections (2), (3) and (4) below, when it causes or is about to cause property damage, or presents a threat to public safety. Euthanasia of any live captured bobcat is prohibited and any live captured bobcat shall be released as provided by subsection (3). |
