| 説明 | The Liberation of Paris began Aug. 24, 1944 and the Germans surrender the city on Aug. 25, 1944.Alongside the boundary wall of Tuilleries Gardens, Paris, at the corner of the Rue de Rivoli with the Place de la Concorde is a memorial for 10 French men and women. They all died near this spot on 25 August 1944, the day of the Liberation of Paris. There is a separate memorial tablet for each of them. |
