| 説明 | Company C, 15th Ohio InfantryThe La Cygne Weekly Record, Thursday, Jan. 26, 1911, Pg 1 Obituary. Peter Blow was born at Lisbey near, London, England, January 14, 1838. In 1854, he emigrated with his parents to Ohio, and was among the first volunteers who responded to the opening call of the Rebellion. After serving to the close of his enlistment, he was united in marriage with Louisa C. Bartram of Marion, Ohio. In the spring of 1870, they came to Franklin county, Kansas, locating near Ottawa. During the period November 25, 1877, they embraced the truths of the Third Angels Message and became members of the Seventh-Day Adventist church. Nearly 16 years ago they moved to La Cygne, Kansas. Mr. Blow became suddenly ill August 4, 1910, from which illness he never recovered, his death occurring January 21, 1911, age 73 years, 7 days. He is mourned by his wife and five children, J. E. Blow of Bentonville, Ark., Mrs. Laura Field of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Louema Bielhart of La Cygne, Mr. John A. Blow of Redwing, Kansas and Mrs. Mabel Huffman of Berrieu Springs, Michigan, all of whom were present at his bedside. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Elder D. E. Huffman of Centerville, Kansas, assisted by Rev. D. A. McCullough of La Cygne. Interment was made in Oak Lawn Cemetery. |
