| 説明 | Finally have a place to build. This 7' x 9' area will do for now while I develop skills and techniques. In time, perhaps a larger area will be deserved.Note the round model that hangs on the upper right corner. This model was build to help realize a design for a disaster resistant house that can float, resist high winds, can be easily leveled after an Earthquake, has less exterior surface area, hence less radiated heat loss and an entry through the bottom that lowers just like a space ship.This model represents a house with a floor area of 840 square feet and headroom of about eighteen feet. My goal was not to live in a spaceship, but as the idea evolved, this house concept kept growing in that direction. I began to consider the virtues of living in a house that looks like a spaceship; it can be regarded as a non-permanent structure, so no building permit should be needed. The four legs only require a combined area of six square feet to rest upon. After two-years of dinking with this idea, it was shelved when my wife insisted that she will not live in a spaceship. |
