| 説明 | National Museum of Australia.An act of parliament created the National Museum in 1980 but it had no public building until March 2001.The striking building is designed on the theory of a knotted rope, linking things together in Australia’s past. It is a totally asymmetrical building with odd angles and spaces. The knot follows the small peninsula on which the Museum is situated and the building design ties it in with Lake Burley Griffin. The building has echoes of the Rainbow Serpent Aboriginal Dreamtime story. The collections are equally eclectic and constantly changing. |
